Marketing Communications Writer
Thriving marketing and design agency, serving Fortune 500 clients along with other prominent national brands, is looking for a savvy, seasoned writer with a passion for crafting strategic, deep-dive marketing communications to join our Creative Team in a full-time position.
WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
- Write both long-form and short-form content for a wide variety of projects including promotional and sales collateral, brochures, web, targeted email campaigns, e-newsletters, videos, presentations, white papers and more.
- Research topics and ask thoughtful, probing questions to gain insights needed to position content effectively.
- Conduct market research and analysis using industry-standard processes and resources, as needed.
- Participate in and/or lead project and content strategy meetings with clients.
- Collaborate with our Client Relationship Team to help deliver powerful and effective creative to our clients.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Enjoy turning complex information into compelling copy, product features into benefits-driven messaging, and corporate-speak into human stories.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to adapt style, tone and voice to best suit each client and medium.
- Ability to combine big-picture thinking with attention to detail, accuracy and compliance with style, usage and brand guidelines.
- Proven experience developing marketing tactics that engage target audiences through personalized, customer-centric content and approaches — knowledge of financial services content a big plus and B2B experience essential.
- Ability to think visually and work with designers to create highly effective communications that convey key messages quickly and clearly.
- Collaborative working style and excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (i.e. marketing, advertising, journalism, communications, business, English or related).
- 2-4 years professional marketing communications experience.
